Description
Kurdish Studies is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal committed to advancing scholarship in the field of Kurdish studies. The journal provides a platform for high-quality research and debates on a wide range of topics relevant to the Kurdish region, its people, and the broader socio-political, cultural, and historical contexts in which they exist. By fostering an inclusive, global dialogue, Kurdish Studies aims to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world implications for policymakers, professionals, and activists alike.
Scope of the Journal
The scope of Kurdish Studies is broad, encompassing diverse fields within the Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Cultural Studies, and History. The journal welcomes contributions on subjects such as Kurdish history, language, culture, media, and identity, as well as social and political issues related to the Kurdish diaspora and the region’s geopolitics. Research that explores the intersection of gender, minorities, politics, law, education, and economics within the Kurdish context is especially encouraged. Kurdish Studies seeks to maintain a balanced approach by publishing both theoretical analyses and empirical studies that provide new insights and foster critical discussions in Kurdish studies.
