The Journal of Buffalo Science is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research and knowledge related to water buffalo in agricultural and veterinary sciences. Founded by Saber Mohamed Abd-Allah and published by Lifescience Global, the journal serves as a specialized platform for scientists, veterinarians, and practitioners to share innovative research, clinical findings, and practical solutions for buffalo production and health management. Under the leadership of the Editor-in-Chief, Antonio Borghese, the journal maintains high academic standards and promotes evidence-based practices in buffalo-related studies.

Since 2020, the journal has adopted a continuous publication model, releasing articles online immediately after acceptance within a single annual volume. This approach ensures rapid dissemination of research findings and enhances global accessibility. Indexed in major international databases and covering publications from 2019 to 2025 in Scopus, the Journal of Buffalo Science provides wide visibility and recognition for authors. Through rigorous peer review and open-access publishing, the journal contributes to the sustainable development of buffalo farming and veterinary medicine worldwide.

The Journal of Buffalo Science focuses on all aspects of agricultural and veterinary sciences related to water buffalo, including nutrition, breeding, genetics, reproduction, health management, disease control, welfare, and production systems. The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, case reports, and short communications that address both fundamental and applied issues in buffalo science. Emphasis is placed on innovative techniques and best practices that enhance productivity, sustainability, and animal well-being.

In addition, the journal encourages interdisciplinary studies that integrate animal science, biotechnology, environmental management, and rural development with buffalo farming systems. It welcomes contributions on veterinary diagnostics, therapeutics, epidemiology, farm management, and socio-economic aspects of buffalo production.
