About the Journal
The Qualitative Research Journal for Social Studies is a peer-reviewed academic publication committed to advancing the understanding of human experiences, social interactions, and cultural contexts through qualitative inquiry. The journal provides an intellectual forum for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to share original qualitative studies, theoretical insights, and methodological innovations that deepen knowledge across diverse areas of the social sciences. It aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and contribute to the development of qualitative research as a vital approach to exploring complex social realities.
Scope of the Journal
The Qualitative Research Journal for Social Studies encompasses a broad spectrum of disciplines within the social sciences, including sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, political science, management, economics, and human geography. It welcomes manuscripts that employ a variety of qualitative methodologies—such as ethnography, grounded theory, phenomenology, narrative inquiry, and case study approaches—to examine social processes, institutions, and individual or collective experiences. Submissions may focus on contemporary societal issues, cultural transformations, educational practices, organizational behavior, or political and economic systems.
In addition, the journal encourages interdisciplinary studies that bridge social sciences with other domains such as gender studies, sport science, development studies, languages, computer science, mathematics, and statistics. Research that integrates qualitative methods with digital tools or mixed-methods approaches is also welcomed. By promoting methodological rigor and theoretical diversity, the journal seeks to expand the frontiers of qualitative research and offer meaningful contributions to both academic scholarship and practical applications in social contexts.
